Addiction Support

“The opposite of addiction is not sobriety, the opposite of addiction is connection.”
-Johann Hari

I believe that genuine human connection can make a significant difference in generating change. Feeling heard, seen, and valued creates a sense of belonging, and perhaps this is something that has been missing in your journey. For over 12 years, I have specialized in helping adults overcome substance use and addiction issues. This includes both working towards abstinence or taking more of a harm reduction approach. With my guidance, you will determine which path is best for you, and I will be there to support you along the way.

I bring compassion and understanding to each of my sessions. I appreciate that every client is unique, and this is why I take an integrative approach to therapy, to help you develop a plan that suits YOU. I will take time to build trust so that you feel comfortable discussing your needs.

Are you seeking change, or is change happening in a way you wish it weren’t? Throughout the therapeutic process, I will help you develop connections;  empowering you to make real progress and achieve your goals. Change is possible!

In my experience as a therapist, I have learned that people are extremely capable of making changes to their lifestyle, however the challenge is being able to maintain that change long-term. Accountability plays a significant role in this, and that is why I offer my clients the option of a 20-minute ‘check-in’ phone call. During these weekly calls, we will discuss your progress on the goals we have set out for you and adjust accordingly. This will give you someone to remain accountable to, which will increase motivation for change.
