Hi Mamas! My name is Stacey, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist and girl mom.

When I’m not working or trying to figure out this whole parenting thing, you can find me binge watching reality TV in my sweatpants and messy bun. Like many other women, I gave birth in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. As if the transition into parenthood wasn’t already difficult enough, I also dealt with extreme levels of isolation and limited supports. One of the things that helped me cope the most, was being able to connect virtually with other women who could relate. My goal as your therapist is to provide that space for you. To listen to you talk about your mom guilt (the struggle is real!), to validate your exhaustion, and reassure you that you got this, girl!

My Approach

As a therapist, I empower women who are struggling with the transition into motherhood, by providing connection, strategies, and resources to better cope and enjoy life. I bring compassion and understanding to each of my sessions. I understand that we are all unique and require different types of support. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, which means that we can work together to create a plan that works for you. I know how difficult it can be to reach out for support, especially when you may already be functioning on limited sleep! Understanding the importance of making support accessible to you, I offer virtual appointments out of the comfort of your own home. My goal is to help you step into this role with courage and confidence!

My Background

• Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario

• Member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals

• Masters of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University

• In addition to private practice, I have experience working with adults and youth in both residential and outpatient treatment settings, high schools, and family health teams
